God has been pursuing humankind since the beginning. He is a God who wants to have a relationship and intimacy with every man and woman He created. He created you with an identity – you were created in His image and likeness – and a purpose – to use your talents and giftings to steward and care for His creation. But the enemy is doing his best to steal, kill, and destroy the Lord’s plans and creation. I discussed this on today’s “Tea Time with Sue.“
During today’s “Tea Time with Sue, I also shared the following two poems I wrote a number of years ago. Enjoy reading them here and then head on over to Tea Time with Sue to watch the video. I would love to hear your feedback!
HEAVEN’S GRACE
Susan Miller
Grace came down from heaven
to show us the way –
born in a humble stable –
kept warm by fresh-cut hay.
Grace came down from heaven
journeyed through the sinful earth –
modeled how we should live –
offered new life through a second birth.
Grace came down from heaven;
sacrificed His life for me.
He rose three days later –
setting the captives free!
Grace comes down from heaven
pursuing all mankind
through darkness and desperation
that eternal life we will find.
Grace comes down from heaven
bringing hope and peace so sweet;
we gather our pain and rubbish
placing them at His feet.
CONSTANT COMPANION
Susan Miller
When life’s storms rage,
And the tempest overtakes me,
You, Lord, are my Refuge,
Wrapping me in your strong protective arms.
When my strength fails me,
And I’m too weak to fight life’s battles,
You, Lord, are my Advocate,
Sending your warriors to fight for me.
When my troubles overwhelm me,
You, Lord, are my Constant Companion,
Fighting beside me,
Strengthening me,
Healing my wounds as you comfort me.
