Does progress feel slow in your healing journey? If so, remember:
The path to healing has its ups and downs. Growth happens in small steps that we can’t see. For example, when a seed sprouts, we can’t see what is happening underground, but it’s growing, thriving, and will soon break through the ground., That’s what is happening in your healing journey.
In your healing journey perserverance is more important than your pace. Results take time. You will have good days and bad days. Keep your eyes on your Creator and not your progress. Give yourself grace. You are healing one step at a time. There are time when you will stumble and fall. Take hold of Abba’s outstretched hand, get back up, keep your eyes on Him, and keep moving forward.
God is still working even though you can’t see it, and it doesn’t feel like it. Just because you can’t see the change yet doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. Let’s go back to the planted seed. We can’t see what is happening underground, but even though we don’t see signs of growth, it is sprouting, growing, and will one day pop through the soil, and you will see the young seedling. That’s what is happening on your healing journey. Be patient with yourself, the process, and your progress.
Like the saying goes, “Slow and steady wins the race.” The healing journey is a slow and difficult one but the final results are well worth the difficulty. The fruit of a strong, healthy, and whole person are well worth the perserverance and hard work it takes to breakthrough the ground reach the end of the path! Stay on the path. The view at the end is well worth the journey!
